Everyone Loves a (Royal) Wedding!

The lovely bride meets her Prince Charming at the alter on the arm of her father
I admit, I stayed up through the night to watch the Royal Wedding live on TV in the wee hours of Friday. I was not disappointed in the least by the beautiful wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton ~ who now have the official titles of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

William was handsome in his red uniform and Kate was radiant in her understated, elegant gown. Nothing was over the top or gaudy, just classy. Most importantly, the couple looked lovely in every sense of the word and very much in love.

And how about those facinators and hats! I have always been a fan of hats. I love seeing them, and I love wearing them.

Kate changed into another beautiful gown for one of the wedding receptions following the wedding. It was rather amusing to see the photo of Kate and Camilla together. I'm sure Camilla's dress was lovely and all, but somehow next to Kate's it kind of looked like Camilla showed up in her housecoat!
Over all, the Royal Wedding was an enjoyable experience for me ~ it's only too bad I didn't get to share it with some of the ladies in my family (guys just don't get this stuff!) and yes, I have almost caught up on my sleep now.

"Hallelujah"

Prince Edward Island singer, Kelley Mooney wrote new words to Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah for an Easter Sunday church service and then applied for the lyrical adaptation from Leonard Cohen’s publisher. She was sure she would be denied but was amazed that within a year, her application was approved!
