Let them eat cake

Zachary's graduating from high school, so we decided to throw an Open House in honour of this milestone.
We chose to have cake and ice cream with friends and family ~ sort of a casual and frugal event.
I made the cakes from scratch ~ no supermarket cakes, mixes, or icing out of a tub this time round. I was happy with the results! I apologize if you you get a little hungry reading this post.

Oatmeal Cake ...

Chocolate Mocha ...

and Trifle ...

Friends, family, food ~ life is good.
